Hi my name is Courtney. Welcome to my space called Bubbles and Pearls. I am a wife, mom, and restaurant owner. I wanted to create this space as an outlet for me, as well as, a safe space for you. I love fashion so you will see a lot of it on here. But I’m also a new mom so you will see a lot of my mistakes and what I am learning as I go. When I had my son I was seeking out other moms in my life for advice and friendship. Sometimes I wanted to know “how are you sleep training your baby”, “what tops do you wear when breastfeeding”, “are you wearing a one piece or two piece swimsuit this year”, “do you cry sometimes for no reason”, “what are you feeding your kids and will mine survive on the only four foods he is willing to eat”. I sought out other bloggers as well as the women in my life and hearing their stories helped me tremendously.

I wanted to put my experience out there for others like me who might also being looking for the same thing. I think it’s important to be honest and upfront about real life. My life is not perfect and I’m going to be honest about it. I think people need to hear the truth and not just see all the pretty pictures. At least, I know I need that. This is a judgement free zone. We are all out there doing the best we can and hopefully together we can help each other get through this thing called life.

Why Bubbles and Pearls? There are a couple meanings for each word and they all just seem to fit me. First of all, I am a pearl girl through and through. I got my first set at 15 and have been wearing them and growing my collection ever sense. I think pearls are classic and timeless and that’s something I strive to be. The other meaning for pearl is pearl of wisdom. I am hoping that you will find what I have to say useful. I am by no means the wisest person, but I can share my experiences and what I’ve learned along the way.

For bubbles, I wanted to find a word that would let you know that my blog is not just about my clothes, it’s also about my journey being a mom. My son is super in to bubbles, so I found it fitting as a way to let you know that this is a mommy blog, not just a fashion one. The other interpretation of bubbles is champagne. That is my go-to drink of choice. I love all kinds of sparkling wine, so again, I felt like it tied perfectly in to a blog name that would describe me. I hope this helps you understand the name, as well as, gives you a little insight into me and what you can expect here.
